Desiree’ La Verne’ is an inspiringly talented singer/songwriter who has dedicated herself to writing her own music and performing. Through her soulful captivating live performances and dedicated studio recordings, long story short, she definitely stands on her own two when given the microphone.

Throughout her younger years up to now, she made sure to always keep her voice active until it was time to release her music. She strategically did this over the years by steadily participating in either choirs, praise teams, talent shows, or digital and stage performances. Her love and appreciation for the talent that God has gifted her with, has inspired her to begin recording meaningful music for the world to hear. Limiting her talent is not an option, therefore, on any given day, you will hear songs by this singer, from various genres.
Music has always been very personal for her, so she’s always humbled when fans can relate to her songs. Currently, Desireé is building her music portfolio by releasing various single tracks and networking with various artists who are in need of a songwriter.
An Authentic Texas Girl
Born in Lompoc, California and raised in San Antonio, Texas, even as a very young girl, Desireé knew that she was blessed with something special, a unique voice to sing. Growing up in the late 80’s and throughout the 90’s, she was exposed to some of the greatest Hip Hop, Alternative, and R&B artists that paved the way for the music you hear today. There are many artists (too many to name) from this era, that have heavily inspired her “music style” over time, which includes several “old school artists” as well. She always knew deep in her heart, that God would reveal to her the right time to release her music to the world, and that time came in the year of 2020.
Texas is a very big state. So big, that it ranks the second biggest state only next to Alaska. Surprisingly, there are only a handful of black female singers (you can count on 2 hands) from the state of Texas. Most of the singers are from either Dallas, Houston, or Austin, Texas.
